Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding!

Your wedding day is a day that you will remember and cherish for the rest of your life, and I want to completely focus my attention on you and your requirements. Once I am booked for your wedding day, I will not be taking any further bookings for that day.

My philosophy is that you want to not only look your best on your special day, but also you need to feel comfortable with your wedding look. It is for this reason that during the initial consultation we will sit and discuss what you want, to ensure that you have your say and that you are 100% happy.

My approach to designing your wedding look is a collaborative one. I give you, the bride as much or as little control as you want. If you have an idea of how you want to look, I can work with that look and tailor it to you. Alternatively, you may not have anything specific in mind, and I will be able to guide to by offering advice on suitable make-up colours, styles and how to make the most of your features.

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and I want to help make it a memorable one.

Your Consultation

The initial consultation will last approximately 90 minutes, and will typically consist of:

• skin analysis
• skin patch test (for foundation and/ or eyelash glue)
• discussion of preferred styles/colours
• make-up application
• false lash application (if desired)
• hair styling (if desired)

Trial checklist

Remember to come wearing minimal make-up.
Magazine clippings of looks/styles or photos you like of yourself at a party/wedding

These will give me an idea of your personal make-up style, and the types of looks that you are trying to achieve. I can then advise you on which of these looks suit you best and can tailor the chosen looks to suit you.
Outfit/ jewellery/ dupatta

This will ensure that hair and make-up can be matched to the colour and style of the outfit and jewellery. If you have not yet chosen your outfit/jewellery, it may be a good idea to bring pictures of the style of outfit and jewellery that you are likely to buy.

This is to ensure that you are happy with your look and everything is all prepared for your special day. I can usually hold bridal make-up trials at short notice, even if it is only a day or two before the big day.

It is your wedding day, and you want to look amazing but also feel comfortable with your look. At the trial, if you disagree with any colours or are unsure of any style, then say so. The make-up artist is there to guide you and create your perfect wedding day look.

Relax

The time spent getting ready on the morning of your wedding is likely to be the only time all day you will have to sit and relax without the eyes of hundreds of guests on you. Take the time to enjoy it.

I always suggest turning your mobile phone off, or handing to a friend/sister, putting some music on, and relaxing with a cup of tea made by someone else (preferably a younger sibling who rarely/ never pampers you).
